We are pleased to offer you an opportunity to apply for a mini grant of up to $1,000 to assist with funding for activities aimed at encouraging underrepresented students to access higher education. An additional $500 (for a total request of
$1,500) may be requested to support projects that are aimed at promoting access to higher education for veterans. Please

Fall Semester Deadline:Â December 15, 2012
Eligible applicants:
A middle school, high school or community based organization (CBO) in partnership with a higher education
institution or a higher education institution in partnership with a middle school, high school or community based organization.
We are particularly interested in funding new programs and initiatives, or the enhancement or
expansion of existing programs. Priority will be given to programs that impact underrepresented students and to new initiatives that might otherwise not be possible without our financial support. Additional funds are available to applicants that seek to engage veterans in accessing higher education.
You may apply for up to $1,000. (An additional $500 – for a total request of $1,500 – may be requested by programs that serve veterans). Typical grants range from $500 – $1,000. Allowable expenses include, but are not limited to:
- Travel
- Participation in college and career fairs
- Keynote speakers
- Meeting materials
- Refreshments
- Field Trips
- Campus tours
