Campus Compact Newman Civic Fellows Announced

NH College Students Return from Alternative Spring Break Trips

While many of their peers headed south for vacations in the sun, hundreds of students from New Hampshire colleges and universities chose to work on community projects rather than their tans over the March school break. In all, 537 college students participated in 48 alternative spring break projects within NH, across the US and abroad. Students working with dozens of national and local community organizations chose projects where one week of sustained effort would make a lasting difference. Read more here.

New Hampshire Celebrates AmeriCorps Week

During AmeriCorps Week, March 10-18, thousands of service organizations are gathering to celebrate—and strengthen—the impact of AmeriCorps programs on communities and individuals across the nation. In New Hampshire, the NH AmeriCorps Alums Chapter is partnering with Campus Compact for New Hampshire (CCNH), the CNCS State Office of ME/NH/VT, and Volunteer NH’s state commission for a week of activities with the theme, “AmeriCorps Works in the Granite State: Live Free and Serve!” These and other groups will hold a series of events during the week to express their commitment to strengthening New Hampshire communities and to reinforce service as a lifelong endeavor. Eastern Regional Campus Compact Conference Call for Proposals

Campus Compact for NH in collaboration with the other state Compacts on the east coast will be hosting the 2012 Eastern Regional Campus Compact Conference on October 11 and 12, 2012 at Dartmouth College. Attached you will find a Call for Proposals for presenters and the form required to submit a proposal. The deadline for submission is April 1, 2012.
