NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND CAMPUS COMPACT
AMERICORPS*VISTA COLLABORATION
AmeriCorps*VISTA members help bring individuals and communities out of poverty. Members serve full-time for a year in nonprofits, public agencies and faith based groups throughout the country.
In collaboration with Maine and Vermont Campus Compacts, Campus Compact for New Hampshire coordinates a unique AmeriCorps*VISTA program that is based on a mutual interest in supporting service and innovative programming strategies focused on anti-poverty measures across the more than seventy colleges and universities in their collective memberships.
The goals of the collaboration are:
- Meet the needs of low income communities and individuals by improving access of low income individuals to higher education
- Develop strategies to recruit and sustain volunteers that will support small and faith based community organizations that serve low income populations.
- Provide access to public safety, disaster relief and preparedness resources to low-income communities and individuals.

University of New Hampshire
