2010 Student Leadership Conference
Best in Class: Building Skills, Changing Communities
Sponsored by the New England Campus Compacts, the Jenzabar Foundation, and the Massachusetts Service Alliance
The goals of the conference are to strengthen the network of New England Campus Compacts, provide students with increased leadership skills and kickoff a year of student outreach and programming. Our interactive, skills-focused workshops will address new and innovative ways to increase civic participation on campuses.
Potential topics include: Language as a Tool for Change, Contemplative Practice- Meditation and Spirituality in Service Learning, Meeting Facilitation, Self Care, Grant Writing, Community Tours, Leadership Styles

Experience a community tour designed to help students working in the community develop a deeper understanding of complex community issues. Participants will take part in a dynamic, interactive introduction to the Amherst community and learn best practices for leading your own community tour.

Granite State Leaders
The Granite State Leaders Program is a training series that seeks to educate, train and develop students throughout New Hampshire to become effective and successful student leaders.
Students who participate in the program are required to attend all training sessions offered by CCNH as well as demonstrate leadership by organizing an event on campus.
Upon successful completion of all five required activities, students will be presented with a Citation from the governor

On April 13, 2010 at the Presidents' Awards Luncheon, Granite State Leaders received a Citation from Governor John Lynch recognizing their dedication to campus leadership and outstanding commitment to community engagement.
