Call for Proposals – Anti-Racist Community Engagement: Principles and Practices

April 4, 2022

The editors of this upcoming publication seek chapter contributions from faculty, staff, administrators, practitioners, students, and community partners. Chapters from across the country will share and analyze experiences using anti-racist community engagement principles in teaching, research, and practice on and off college campuses.

The book will offer a deep dive into the challenges, obstacles, and successes of anti-racist community-engaged work. Specifically, the editors ask for applications of the Principles for Anti-Racist Community Engagement (ARCE). Potential authors are invited to think about their work in one of the areas identified by the ARCE Principles and write about how the ideas are applied within their experiences in relatively short submissions (1500-2500 words).

This edited collection will be published by Campus Compact in collaboration with Stylus Publishing. Editors: Christina Santana, Worcester State University; Aldo Garcia-Guevara, Worcester State University; Joseph Krupczynski, University of Massachusetts Amherst; Cynthia Lynch, Salem State University; John Reiff, Massachusetts Department of Higher Education; Roopika Risam, Salem State University; Cindy Vincent, Salem State University; Elaine Ward, Merrimack College.
