Apply Now to Become an Engaged Scholar

January 12, 2022

Campus Compact is accepting nominations for member faculty, staff, and administrators to become Engaged Scholars for 2022–2023. The Engaged Scholars initiative is designed to develop a diverse group of early-career faculty and staff to strengthen their own community-engaged scholarship and lead equity-focused change within their institution and communities.

This year’s Engaged Scholars cohort will consist of 20 individuals from Campus Compact member institutions across the country. These scholars will meet regularly between April 2022 and June 2023 to collaborate and learn.

Gatherings will include monthly virtual meetings, two virtual retreats, and two additional retreats to be held in person if conditions allow. In addition to offering professional development meetings, the Engaged Scholars initiative fosters mentorship opportunities, scholarly projects, and other engaged work.

Applications are due March 1, so apply soon!

Campus Compact oversees the national Engaged Scholarship initiative in partnership with the Lang Center for Civic & Social Responsibility at Swarthmore College.
