2021–2022 CCNH Newman Civic Fellows

The Newman Civic Fellowship recognizes and supports community-committed students who are changemakers and public problem-solvers at Campus Compact member institutions across the country. Fellows are nominated by their president or chancellor on the basis of their potential for public leadership. Through the fellowship, Campus Compact provides students with training and resources that nurture their assets and passions and help them develop strategies for social change. CCNH College Covid-19 Resources

Campus Compact for New Hampshire continues to support our member institutions, VISTAs, and other program participants as we transition to a post-Covid world. Our member campuses have risen to the challenge of supporting their students and their communities during the pandemic. To advance this work, we have collected response resources to help campuses support students facing hardship, provide service-learning and community-engaged work in a virtual setting, access mental health resources, and find information about vaccine sites, public health, and other resources. As we look to the spring semester, we wanted to invite our CCNH members to join your NH peers to discuss teaching and community engagement in the time of COVID-19. This informal session will be facilitated by Nickie Lora, Director of the Meelia Center and an Instructor of Social Work in the Sociology and Social Work Department at Saint Anselm College. GEAR UP Grants Available from CCNH

Campus Compact for New Hampshire is pleased to offer an opportunity to apply for a mini-grant of $1,000 or $5,000 to assist with funding for activities designed to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in post-secondary education. The grants are part of the GEAR UP New Hampshire Alliance, an initiative of CCNH and the New Hampshire College & University Council. Coming Soon: CCNH Community Service Directors Assessment Workshop

On March 13, CCNH is sponsoring an assessment workshop for community service staff at our member institutions. Gavin Henning, a leading expert in assessment, will help participants understand and maximize the power of assessment in their work. This workshop is geared toward Community Service Directors and their colleagues in community engagement, service learning, and civic engagement. Arrival and networking begins at 9:30 AM followed by the workshop at 10 AM. Lunch will follow at 1 PM. We look forward to seeing you!
